Sounds of Zion

/files/Sounds Of Zion/Sounds_Profile.jpg  Many people may see the group as Gospel singers, however they'd rather be referred to as ministers of music; because their music is a ministry. In the city of Paterson, and throughout the Tri-State Area, they're one of the hometown favorites. They receive a lot of support from their families and churches. Sounds of Zion were " First Place Winners " in the nationally recognized McDonald's Gospelfest in 2001 & 2002. They've also starred in off Broadway Musicals such as: " YOUR ARMS ARE TOO SHORT TO BOX WITH GOD and GOSPITALITY. "

On July 27th, 2002 Sounds of Zion were blessed to do their first "LIVE RECORDING" in Paterson, entitled " OVER IN ZION. " S.O.Z has shared the same stage with the following artist: Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett & GA, Tramaine Hawkins Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Choir, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Rev. Timothy Wright & The New York Fellowship Mass Choir, Harvey Watkins & The Canton Spirituals, Doc McKenzie & The Hi-Lites, Spencer Taylor & The Highway QC's, Luther Barnes & The Sunset Jubileers, The Pilgrim Jubilees, Slim & The Supreme Angel's, Tommy The Ellison & Five Singing Stars, Darrell McFadden & The Disciples, The Original Hi-Lites, James Hairston & Youthful Praise, Mietta Stancil-Farrar & Tehillah, Melanie Daniels, Lorraine Stancil, Keith " Wonderboy " Johnson & The Spiritual Voices, Melba Moore, Cissy Houston, Dee Dee Warrick, Shirley Murdock, Natalie Wilson & S.O.P, Virtue, and Desiree Coleman Jackson.

Their mission and purpose in singing is to bring souls to Christ. Their original premiere song " OVER IN ZION " sends a message for all believers to meet in Heaven one day. If one soul is saved, set free & delivered. Then Sounds of Zion have done their job, and that's what it's all about. Spreading the Gospel, reaching the lost at any cost. And introducing them to Christ our Saviour.
